Meesho Seller Registration (2026): Documents, Steps & Approval

Meesho seller registration is free, takes about 15 minutes to submit, and is usually approved in 24–48 hours once your GSTIN and bank details validate. You need a GSTIN, a bank account in the same registered name, and catalogue images that meet Meesho's quality bar. This is the end-to-end registration playbook we use to onboard 200+ Meesho suppliers — documents, step-by-step signup, the rejection reasons that stall approval, and the first-order checklist that prevents early suspension. For day-to-day dashboard operations afterwards, use our Meesho Supplier Panel guide.

How to create a Meesho seller account

Six steps. The whole flow takes 20–30 minutes if your GST and bank details are ready.

    Step 01

    Visit supplier.meesho.com

Open the official Meesho Supplier site and click 'Start Selling'. Avoid third-party 'registration agents' — Meesho registration is free.

    Step 02

    Enter mobile + GSTIN

Register with the mobile number tied to your business. Provide your active 15-digit GSTIN — Meesho verifies it against the GST portal in real time.

    Step 03

    Add business + pickup address

Business name must match the GST certificate exactly. Pickup address is where Valmo/Delhivery picks up orders — keep it operational 10am–7pm.

    Step 04

    Bank account + cancelled cheque

Account name must match the GSTIN holder. Settlements credit here on the T+15 cycle.

    Step 05

    List your first catalog

Upload at least 1 product with title, 5 images (white background, 2000x2000px), MRP, selling price, GST rate, and HSN code.

    Step 06

    Account goes live in 24–48h

Once Meesho QC clears your first catalog, the seller account is live and orders start flowing within hours.

    Documents

    Documents required for Meesho registration

    GSTIN

Mandatory. Composition-scheme GSTINs are accepted for non-restricted categories.

    PAN (matches GST)

Auto-pulled from GSTIN; ensure the PAN on file is correct.

    Cancelled cheque OR bank passbook

Account name must match the GST registered name.

    Pickup address proof

Electricity bill / rent agreement — needed only if pickup differs from registered address.

    FSSAI license

    Only for food, beverages, supplements.

    Brand authorization letter

Only if reselling another brand's products — original brand owners can skip.

    First-order playbook

After your account is live — first-order checklist

These five items prevent 90% of new-seller suspensions in month 1.

    • Set realistic dispatch SLA (24h) — Meesho cancels orders left unprocessed for 48h.
    • Print Meesho-branded label from the Orders panel; never use generic labels.
    • Use approved logistics partners (Valmo / Delhivery / Ecom Express) — self-ship is not allowed on Meesho.
    • Update tracking within 24h of pickup; missed updates trigger 'Cancelled by Seller' penalty.
    • Reconcile your first 5 settlements manually — Meesho's commission + shipping + TDS structure is easier to learn on small numbers.
    Troubleshooting

    Common Meesho seller account rejections

    GSTIN verification failed

Fix: GSTIN is inactive or cancelled. Log into the GST portal, regularise, then re-submit on Meesho.

    Bank account mismatch

Fix: Account holder name must match the legal name on the GST certificate, character-for-character.

    Catalog rejected — image quality

Fix: Use 2000x2000px pure white background images. Lifestyle shots are allowed only as image 2–5.

    Catalog rejected — pricing violation

Fix: Selling price below cost or above MRP triggers rejection. Use Meesho's Price Recommendation Tool.

    Brand not authorized

Fix: Upload a brand authorization letter on company letterhead with brand owner signature + stamp.

    Meesho seller account — FAQs

How do I create a Meesho seller account?+

Visit supplier.meesho.com, register with your business mobile number and GSTIN, add pickup address and bank account, upload your first catalog with white-background images and MRP, and wait 24–48 hours for Meesho QC approval. Once approved, your seller account is live and orders begin flowing.

    Is Meesho seller registration free?+

Yes, Meesho seller registration is 100% free. There are no signup fees, listing fees, or annual subscription charges. Meesho charges 0% commission on most categories — sellers only pay shipping + return logistics charges deducted at settlement.

What documents are required for a Meesho seller account?+

You need an active GSTIN, PAN linked to the GST, a bank account in the GST-registered business name, a cancelled cheque or bank passbook, and a pickup address. FSSAI is required only for food categories, and brand authorization letters are needed if you resell other brands.

How long does Meesho seller account approval take?+

Standard Meesho seller account approval takes 24–48 hours after submission, including GSTIN verification, bank account verification, and first catalog QC. Delays of 3–5 days happen when GSTIN is newly issued or the bank account name doesn't match the GST exactly.

Can I sell on Meesho without GST?+

No. GSTIN is mandatory to create a Meesho seller account — Meesho does not allow PAN-only or non-GST registrations like some other marketplaces. Composition-scheme GSTINs are accepted for non-restricted product categories.

What is Meesho's commission rate for sellers?+

Meesho charges 0% commission on most product categories — its 'zero commission' model. Sellers pay only shipping fees and return-to-origin charges, which are deducted at the T+15 settlement. Some restricted categories like food and high-value electronics have small commission slabs.

Why was my Meesho seller account rejected?+

Common rejection reasons include inactive GSTIN, bank account name mismatch with GST registered name, low-quality catalog images (must be 2000x2000px white background), pricing violations (above MRP or below cost), or missing brand authorization for resold brands.

Can I have multiple Meesho seller accounts?+

Meesho's policy permits one seller account per GSTIN. If you operate multiple legal entities with separate GSTINs, you can register each separately. Operating duplicate accounts on the same GSTIN triggers suspension.
