How to log in as a GeM seller
- Go to gem.gov.in and choose the seller/service-provider login option.
- Enter your GeM user ID exactly as created at registration (case-sensitive, usually not your email).
- Enter your password and submit.
- Complete the OTP verification sent to the registered mobile number or email.
- Where your organisation profile requires it, complete Aadhaar-based eSign or DSC verification for the primary user.
Forgot GeM user ID or password

Common GeM login errors and their real causes
- 'Invalid credentials' — usually the email being used instead of the GeM user ID, or a case mismatch.
- OTP not received — registered mobile/email outdated, DND blocking, or mail landing in spam.
- eSign/Aadhaar failure — name or mobile mismatch between Aadhaar and the GeM profile.
- DSC not detected — expired certificate, wrong browser, or the signing utility not running.
- Session timeout mid-bid — long idle time on the bid form; save drafts frequently.
- Dashboard loads but modules are missing — secondary-user role lacks those permissions.
What you can do inside the GeM seller dashboard
- Catalogue — create and edit products or services against GeM categories and mandatory technical parameters.
- Bids & RA — search live bids, check eligibility conditions, submit bids and participate in reverse auctions.
- Orders — accept contracts, update dispatch, and upload invoices and delivery proof.
- Payments — track CRAC, invoice status and payment progress from buyer organisations.
- Profile & compliance — Udyam/MSME details, OEM authorisations, turnover and experience filters, and caution money status.
- Users — add secondary users with scoped rights so bidding and finance are separated.
No login yet? What registration needs first
A GeM login only exists after seller registration is completed. That needs the organisation's PAN, Aadhaar of the primary user, GST details, bank account and, where applicable, Udyam registration for MSME benefits.
Registration itself is free. Transaction charges apply only on higher-value orders, and Udyam-registered MSMEs are exempt from EMD and tender document fees.
