    What is Seller Central?

Amazon's dashboard for third-party sellers — the seller-facing control plane for listings, orders, inventory, advertising, and account health.

    Detailed Explanation

Seller Central (sellercentral.amazon.in / sellercentral.amazon.com) is Amazon's web-based dashboard for third-party (3P) sellers. It is the single control plane every 3P seller uses to operate on Amazon. Inside Seller Central, sellers create and manage product listings (titles, bullets, images, A+ Content, Brand Store, variation themes), manage inventory across FBA and FBM, process orders (labels, manifests, returns, refunds), and configure shipping templates and SLAs. The Advertising console inside Seller Central supports Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands (including video), and Sponsored Display, with bulk-bid edits, dayparting, negative keyword libraries, and bid rules. Brand Registry-enrolled sellers unlock Brand Analytics (search-term reports, item comparison, market basket, demographics), Brand Store, A+ Content (basic + premium), Manage Your Experiments (A/B tests), Vine, Brand Referral Bonus, and IP enforcement. Account health is monitored via Order Defect Rate (<1%), Late Shipment Rate (<4%), Cancellation Rate (<2.5%), and Valid Tracking Rate (>95%); breaches trigger throttling or suspension. Finance reports inside Seller Central include Date-Range Reports, Payments dashboard, Disbursement summaries, FBA reimbursement claims, and SP-API exports for accounting integrations. Seller Central also hosts Pricing tools (Automate Pricing, Featured Offer eligibility, Coupons, Deals, Lightning Deals), Customer Voice signal panels (returns reasons, voice of customer), and the Performance Notifications inbox where Amazon issues Policy and Performance warnings. Newer modules — Customer Engagement (email to brand followers), Manage Your Customer Engagement, Posts (social-style content), Live, and Build International Listings (BIL) — also live in Seller Central. Mobile parity is via the Amazon Seller app on iOS and Android. Access is role-based via the User Permissions panel, which integrates with Amazon's two-step verification. For Indian sellers, Seller Central additionally exposes GST invoicing (B2B invoices, IRN compliance), TCS reports under section 52, the Service Provider Network (SPN), Easy Ship, FBA Onsite, and the Amazon Business storefront for B2B buyers.
